Purpose of our life in Islam

        WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF OUR CREATION?

As we examine Allah’s creation, we will inevitably conclude that all things have a purpose. If we look at the delicate balance of our universe, as vast as it is, orchestrated in perfect synchronization. The human body and its various different processes like thought, movement, vision and its ability to heal itself. The earth and its countless number of life forms, various plants, vegetables and animals. The weather system, the seasons and the water cycle. Surely, these things have some purpose, more so for human beings.

Allah says: " I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worshipMe (alone)." Quran51:56 As the verse states , all things are in a state of submission to the Creator by following the natural laws that they have been created for. We were born in a state of submission, not in a state of sin as we had no choice in the matter and we will die in submission. Between these two time spans, man has been given the rational ability to choose to submit to his Creator.

Allah created mankind and made us responsible for our actions by granting us freedom of choice, and intelligence to discern right and wrong. • If there were no afterlife in which the good were rewarded and the bad punished, that would contradict the perfect justice of Allah. • Hence it is an absolute demand of justice that there be a Day of Judgement on which every soul is brought to account. “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.” [Quran 51:56-57]

Know for surety that we will all die and none of us knows when we’re going to die. Isn’t it time you submitted to your Lord?
A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever has fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfil his needs; whoever has brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever has screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him (of his faults) on the Day of Resurrection.
                                                                                          (Bukhari)

The five pillars of Islam

THE FIVE PillARS

Islam has five (5) Pillars.

1. (Imaan) Belief that no deity is worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is His Last Prophet and Messenger.

2. (Salat) Prayers, which are performed 5 times a day.

3. (Siyam) Fasting in the month of Ramadan. Abstaining from food, drink and sexual relations with spouses from sunrise to sunset.

4. (Zakat) Charity is the requirement of 2.5% of a Muslims’ saved earnings given to the poor once a year as purification of his wealth.

5. (Hajj) Pilgrimage is a journey to the Kab’ah in the sacred city of Mecca. Muslims are required to do this at least once in a lifetime if they are physically and financially able.

Sayidina Abdullah bin Umar narrates that he heard Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم saying:
‘Islam is built on 5 Pillarrs:

Testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the [final] Messenger of Allah and establishing the prayer and giving Zakaah and making pilgrimage to the house [of Allah] and fasting in Ramadhan.’ [Bukhari and Muslim]

• WHO IS A MUSLIM?

One who practices the 5 pillars of Islam and believes in the fundamentals of faith.

One can become a Muslim by saying; "Ashadhu An Laa ilaha illa Allaah, wa ashadhu anna Muhammad ar-rasulullah." This means, "I bear witness that no deity has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Final Messenger."

An introduction to the faith in Islam

FAITH IN ISLAM

WHAT ARE THE FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH?

- Belief in Allah, His Oneness and ascribing no partners to Him.

- Belief in the Angels (Gabriel, Michael, Israfil, etc.).

- Belief in the revealed scriptures (Torah, Psalms, Gospel) in their original form, not as they exist today.

Belief in Allah’s Messengers right from Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Job, Moses, Jesus (peace be on them all). The last and final Prophet of God who came to preach this way of life called Islam is Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).

-Believe in Judgment Day – A Muslim is to have the belief that the Judgment day is inevitable and once it arrives, all the people will be held accountable for their deeds which they committed in this world.

- Belief in Pre-Ordainment, The good or bad of it.

Introduction to Islam

WHAT IS ISLAM

 INTRODUCTION TO ISLAM

Islam is not a new religion founded by Prophet Mohammed (peace be on him). Islam is the same way of life practiced and preached by all the Prophets of God right from Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Job, Moses, Jesus (peace be on them all). The last and final Prophet of God who came to preach this way of life called Islam is Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).

Islam is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion which professes that there is only one and incomparable God (Allah) and that Muhammad is the last messenger of God

It is the world's second-largest religion and the fastest-growing major religion in the world with over 1.7 billion followers[or 23% of the global population known as Muslims Islam teaches that God is merciful, all-powerful, and unique and He has guided mankind through revealed scriptures, natural signs, and a line of prophets sealed by Muhammad(PBUH)  . The primary scriptures of Islam are the Quran, viewed by Muslims as the verbatim word of God, and the teachings and normative example (called the sunnah, composed of accounts called hadith) of Muhammad (c. 570–8 June 632 CE).

2)The word "Islam" means peace and submission to the Will of the only God worthy of being worshiped. This peace is contentment with yourself and your surroundings that could only be achieved by willfully submitting to God, obeying what He commands and abstaining from what He forbids.

Healing with medicine of prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam

Description

Product description

Healing with the Medicine of the Prophet is the panacea for those in search of good health. It is a magnificent work that is a treasure every Muslim household. Although it was written by the author, Ibn Al-Qayyim, over six hundred and fifty years ago, it is extremely timely work for our generation in which health and natural health care products have become an important aspect of the lives of so many. The author presents the guidance of the Prophet in dealing with a variety of health issues, including treatment of ailment and preventive remedies to keep the body fit. As the Qur'an and Sunnah are the main sources of Islamic lifestyle, it only stands to reason that they should likewise be referred to in the matters of health and fitness. This is the approach taken by Ibn Al-Qayyim as he presents Verses of the Qur'an and statements of the Prophet as his main reference in these issues of health and medicines. The final chapters the this work include an extremely beneficial glossary of remedies, herbs, foods and other natural substances that aid in the journey towards better health.
Healing with the Medicine of the Prophet is an invaluable reference guide for the Muslim of every land and every generation. May Allah bestow His mercy and blessings upon the author, Ibn Al-Qayyim, for surely his work will be cherished throughout time.

Bismillahi 'r-rahmani 'r-raheem
Milk: The Prophet (SAW) said that milk wipes away heat from the heart just as the finger wipes away sweat from the brow. It strengthens the back, increases the brain, augments intelligence, renews vision & drives away forgetfulness.
Ibn Abbas (R.A.) reports that our Nabi (S.A.W.) liked milk. Most of all liquids.
Milk has been described for increasing stamina, removing dryness from the body. It helps digestion, is nutritious, improves texture of the skin, discharges waste of the body through urine (breaks down), improves brain and mind function, removes stresses and strains from the body. Milk, however, must be drunk in reasonable quantities, for too much milk could cause harm to some of the body function. Such as weakening the eyesight, weakening the joints of the body and also leads to fattening.
Honey: Considered to be the best remedy for diarrhoea when mixed in hot water. It is the food of foods, drink of drinks & drug of drugs. It is used for creating appetite, strengthening the stomach, eliminating phlegm, as a meat preservative, hair conditioner, eye salve & mouthwash. It is extremely beneficial in the morning in warm water & is also a Sunnah.
The Prophet Muhammed S.A.W said, “ you have 2 medicines: honey and the Quraan”. – narrated Abdulla bin Masud, Ibn Maja.
Olive oil: Excellence treatment for skin and hair, delays old age, treats inflammation of the stomach.
The Prophet S.A.W said, “ you have olive oil. Take eat it and apply it on the body. It is useful in piles’. Narrated by Alqama bin Aamir.
Mushroom: The Prophet (SAW) said that mushroom is a good cure for the eyes; it also serves as a form of birth control and arrests paralysis.
The Messenger of Allah S.A.W said,” Mushroom is a sort of Manna which Allah sent to children of Israel. It’s water is cure for the eyes.Narrated by Muslim, IBN Maja
Hazrat Ali (R) reports our Nabi (S.A.W.) as saying: "Mushroom is a good cure for the eyes."
Anas Ibn Malik (R.A.) reports the Nabi (S.A.W.) saying: "Jannah laughed and the mushroom came out and the earth laughed and its treasures came out."
There are three kinds of mushrooms:
(1) Black mushroom - this is poisonous.
(2) Whitetish and redish mushroom (pinkish) - this is also not recommended.
(3) White mushroom - its extract is very good for the eyes. If applied for several days it removes the whiteness from the eyes (blindness). Its extract, however, is not useful for bloodshot eyes. Its extract is especially good for eyesore as a result of heat, but it is not good for eyesore because of cold.
Dried and ground mushroom stops diarrhoea and if a paste is made of mushroom with vinegar and placed over the navel of a person whose navel has shifted from a position resulting in severe pains, then the navel will come back into its place.
Grapes: The Prophet was very fond of grapes, it purifies the blood, provides vigour & and health, strengthens the kidneys & clears the bowels.
The Prophet Muhammed S.A.W. said,Eat currants, but spit out the stones, for there is illness, but in the flesh there is healing. Narrated by Ibn Abbas and Suyuti.
Dates: The Prophet (SAW) said that a house without dates has no food, also to be eaten at the time of childbirth.
The Prophet S.A.W. said, “ your women folk should eat dates, for whoever makes dates their food, will produce children with ease; Narrated by As Suyuti.
The Prophet S.A.W. said,: whoever eats seven dates between dawn and dusk, will have no harm come to him between dawn and dusk”
Figs: It is a fruit from paradise and a cure for piles.
The Prophet S.A.W said,” if you are going to say that any fruit has come from the Garden, then truly you should  mention fig, for it is indeed the fruit of Jannah.” Narrated by Abu Darda, Suyuti,
Barley: Good for fever in a soup form
The companions of the Prophet S.A.W. used to eat food prepared with barley and beet root after Friday prayers. Narrated by Ibn Abbas, Tirmidhi.
Melon: Melon contains 1000 blessings & 1000 mercies, the Prophet SAW said "None of your women who are pregnant & eat of water melon will fail to produce offspring who are good in countenance & good in character.
Pomegranate: The Prophet (SAW) said it cleanse you of Satan and evil aspirations for 40 days.
The Prophet S.A.W.said,” there is not a pomegranate which does not have apip from one of the pomegranate of the Garden in it. Narrated by Anas bin Mlik, Abu Naim.
In a Hadith our Nabi (S.A.W.) says: "Every pomegranate contains a drop from the water of Jannah." For this reason it has many cures-
(1) Purifies blood;
(2) invigorates and stimulates the body;
(3) cleans the stomach;
(4) removes obstructions in the digestive organs;
(5) stop diarrhoea (running stomach);
(6) improves digestion;
(7) strengthens the digestive organs;
(8) removes nervousness;
(9) clears the throat;
(10) clears the skin;
(11) neutralises acid in the stomach.
Note: No action or habit of our Nabi (S.A.W.) was ever without reason or wisdom. It therefore follows that for us to follow and practise all the actions and habits of our Nabi (S.A.W.), it will only make us more acceptable to ALLAH.
Water: The Prophet (SAW) said the best drink in this world & the next is Water. When you are thirsty drink it by sips and not gulps. Gulping produces sickness of the liver.
So praise be to our beloved Nabi (SAW) who produced us with knowledge which dazzles the wisest minds. May this information be beneficial to all of us

When you don’t understand the Almighty’s Plan, you’re more likely to lose hope & feel despondent. You think you’re doing everything wrong & you’re unsure about what lies ahead. But don’t give up. Keep asking Him. He’s All-Knowing. He will steer you in the right direction!
If your intent is wrong, your deeds done for the sake of humankind will come to nought. Check your intentions often. Because you don’t want to fall into the trap; you think you’re doing a lot but when you arrive on Judgement Day, you’re a bankrupt! That would be devastating!
It is easy to get distracted by dissenting voices and naysayers. Even if it’s one. But don’t let it affect you. Don’t let it influence you. Think of the majority who appreciate what you do. That should keep you going. Besides, your reward is with the Almighty. Not humankind.
Drawing inspiration from another person is allowed. But there are dangers of looking to so-called celebrities as role models. Remember, they’re just people. It's easy to forget this when society elevates them to superhuman status. They’re not. They make mistakes like all of us!
Everything happens for a reason. The Almighty does not miscalculate anything. He knows the circumstances you’re facing. You’ll never be made to face a situation you can’t handle. So no matter what comes against you, with strong faith, it will never be too much for you to bear.

Don’t fall into the trap of Satan who makes you believe that happiness comes with getting all that your heart desires. The more you have, the happier you’ll be? That’s a lie! In fact, it’s furthest from the truth. Happiness is appreciating all that you have been blessed with.

Many people make the mistake thinking that a confident person is the one who is better than everyone else. That is far from the truth. Confidence isn't strutting into a room thinking you're better than everyone else; it's walking in not having to compare yourself to anyone.
